The wife has put me on a diet just for a while because my fat levels are too high. We have new scales that are full of useful information, like fat levels. This has brought bad news that I probably already knew but did not really any to pay attention to. I have to exercise more which is something that we could all do with, so I am breaking out the bike and getting in some good riding. Also cutting out the junk, I mostly eat healthy real food but I have an interest in the odd Mars bar or hangover curing Whopper from Burger King. Even with healthy fresh food that is prepared well it is possible to have too much so I am looking at portion control.
The down side is that we are now living a temporary bean infested life, just to shake the weight then hopefully back to a more normal way of living and eating. The good news is that I have been discovering new foods and recipes which is always exciting. Today I made tabouleh with bulgar wheat for the first time which is really nice and herby. I have found some good recipes that I am going to try and also I will be adding one of my own to the In My Box ‘bean recipes you can count on’.
